The safety measures being taken at Play Shack are listed below:

• Enhanced cleaning regimes will continue in all common areas and high use touch points.
• Regular cleaning throughout the day.
• We are encouraging our customers to use contactless payment whilst visiting our play centre where possible.
• As with our employees we also ask all customers to uphold the highest possible hygiene standards i.e., whether it is when coughing and sneezing or through regular hand washing or frequent hand sanitising.
• Our employees have been trained to the highest health and safety standards and how to keep our customers safe.
• Customers are encouraged to order from the kitchen/café using our new QR code to prevent queues forming. If you require assistance ordering, please alert a member of our team. The café till remains open but we ask that customers are mindful of everyone’s personal space.

Visitor requirements

Our safety measures and rules of play are there to safeguard the wellbeing of all customers visiting Play Shack.  It is in the interest of everyone visiting us to comply with these measures; should an individual not comply with these measures; we reserve the right to require that individual to leave Play Shack in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Play Shack would like to ask all customers not to visit us if they are feeling unwell.

Our commitment to provide a service

Play Shack will endeavour to ensure that as much of the slides and equipment as possible are available for use by guests at the site. However, Play Shack reserves the right, without prior notice, to close and change the equipment and/or the play centres operating hours. Play Shack in its absolute discretion reserves the right to close the whole or any part of the play centre at any time or to restrict the number of persons having access to the facilities. The reason for any closure or restriction provided by this condition may include technical or operational reasons, capacity, inclement weather, special events or to ensure the safety and security of guests or if Play Shack reasonably considers the circumstances so require. If the whole play centre is closed for any of the reasons set out above and you have pre-paid tickets for that day, Play Shack reserves the right to offer substitute tickets for admission to the play centre on an alternative date in substitution for any other form of redress.

Our right to remove you

Play Shack, acting reasonably at all times, reserves the right, to refuse admission to our play centre, ban from entry to our play centre, or remove any person from our play centre without any right to a refund any person whose presence or behaviour may affect the enjoyment and/or safety of other guests or staff or who: acts in an inappropriate and/or undesirable manner whilst travelling to our play centre whether by bus, coach or other means, where such behaviour has been reported to Play Shack by a reliable independent source; which, in the opinion of Play Shack, is likely to affect the safety and/or enjoyment of other guests or staff; uses violent, aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or insulting words or behaviour or in any way behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace; climbs or stands upon fences, barriers, walls, safety fences, slide structures or any other structure at our play centre other than as is intended; enters or attempts to enter any part of our play centre which is a restricted or prohibited area as determined by Play Shack, including office areas, kitchen and our staff room. Play Shack reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings or prosecute any person found damaging or defacing any part of our play centre, fences, barriers, walls, slide structures, equipment, fabrics or buildings at the site or has displayed any sign or visible representation of any kind which is, or could be reasonably judged to be, threatening, abusive or insulting or has previously acted in any manner which has caused any person to report that individual to Play Shack.

If any guest in breach of any of these Entry Conditions is a member of a group, then such group of individuals may also, at Play Shack’s discretion, be denied entry or escorted from our play centre without any right to a refund.

Admissions

All persons entering our play centre must pay for admission or hold a valid event ticket or online booking confirmation. The sale of tickets/vouchers by anyone other than Play Shack is strictly prohibited, without the prior expressed consent of Play Shack. Only persons authorised by Play Shack are permitted to sell or offer for sale any items to guests within our play centre. All tickets and admission prices are non-transferable, non-refundable, not for resale and will become automatically void on any transfer for value. Tickets purchased are only valid on the date specified at the time of purchase. For the avoidance of any doubt, any bookings for events or sessions either online or in house are non-refundable and non-transferable in the event that admission is refused or relinquished for any reason referred to in these terms and conditions. If tickets are bought on behalf of other guests, the buyer accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of every guest and shall ensure that these terms and conditions are complied with by each person in the group.

No child or children under the age of 18 will be admitted to our play centre unless they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over and such child or children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of their accompanying adult at all times.

For health and safety reasons (due to the nature of the equipment within our play centre), wheelchairs and pushchairs are the only transport device permitted within our play centre.

Your behaviour 

Smoking (including of e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited other than in the designated smoking areas identified in the carpark. All slides, equipment, amusements and any other facilities located in our play centre must only be used in accordance with the relevant operator’s instructions. Under no circumstances are our visitors permitted to climb the slides as this is a hazard to other people using them.

Your dress & appearance must be suitable for a family entertainment centre

Socks must be worn in the play area at all times. If you are wearing clothing that is indecent or likely to cause offence in any way, you will be refused entry or asked to leave our play centre.

Parking

Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. We take no responsibility for damage caused to any vehicle using the car park and no guarantee is given as to the security of guests’ vehicles in the car park or any contents. Motor homes, camper vans, caravans or any other vehicle of a similar nature are not permitted anywhere within our carpark. No vehicles are permitted to remain in our carpark outside our play centres normal operating hours.

FAQ’s

 Can I just turn up?

• Yes! Bookings are no longer required for general play sessions, payment for admission is to be made on the door Monday – Sunday 9.30am – 6.00pm.
• Customers will need to have registered an account with us in order to enter, we may use your details if we need to contact you. Ideally you will have registered your account with us prior to entry but our team can assist with this should you need them to.

What can I expect when I arrive?

• We request that customers are mindful of each other’s personal space during your visit.

Do I need to go in the play structure with my children?

It is recommended to accompany your children in the play structure so that you can supervise and monitor them, it is great fun for adults too!

Do not forget, socks must be always worn by anyone entering the structure.

Do you serve food and drinks?

• Yes! As always, only food and drinks purchased from the Play Shack café are to be consumed during your visit. We cater for a large range of allergies/intolerances.
• If you suffer from an allergy/intolerance, please ask to speak to a member of our management team before placing your order.
• We offer a variety of hot and cold meals, drinks, and snacks, we also have specials too.
• We have an ordering facility through our website where you can purchase food and drink from our café when you are visiting – this can be done by scanning our QR code with your camera phone, the QR code is located at various points throughout the centre.
• If you would prefer to order from the café counter, please be mindful of others personal space when queuing.

What is the seating like?

• Customers are not permitted to move the tables.
• Customers once seated, should ideally not move to a different table during their visit.

Toilet facilities

• Please be respectful of other customers/staff members personal space when using the facilities.
• Adults must accompany children on all visits to the facilities to ensure their hands are washed thoroughly with soap and water before re-entering the play structure.
• The toilets are checked and cleaned by our team routinely during the day.

What if I feel unwell during my visit?

If you feel unwell during your visit, then please take extra care, if you need any assistance please speak to a member of our team.

Please note: Play Shack is the trading name of WAAT Limited.

1. No adults to be allowed entry without children.
2. Parent/Carer ratio to children must be at least 1:8;
3. Parents/Guardians must be aged over 18 and must supervise children using the play centre.
4. Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult and must be supervised at all times (including whilst using toilet facilities). The accompanying adult will be responsible for explaining the rules of play.
5. ONLY food and drink purchased on the premises can be consumed on the premises. No food or drink should be taken into the play frame.
6. Playtime may be limited to 90 minutes during busier periods.
7. Our team have access to first aid facilities; however, our staff are not permitted to administer first aid in any circumstance.
8. Parents or other accompanying adults must ensure that children behave at all times in an appropriate manner, to ensure causing offence or injury to others is avoided.
9. Appropriate clothing must be worn. We recommend trousers and long-sleeved tops to minimise the risk of injuries and slide burns. All jewellery and sharp objects should be removed before entering the play structure. Please ensure all clothing is tucked in.
10. Climbing of netting, slides, sofas, tables is not permitted. All parents/guardians must use reasonable care to avoid damage to the equipment and avoid injury to themselves or others.
11. If you witness any unsafe play, violent / abusive conduct, or dangerous equipment, please notify a team member immediately.
12. Rough play, gymnastics or any other activities that may cause injury to others is not permitted.
13. Baby/Nappy changing should only be done in the designated baby changing facilities which are located in the ladies, gents and disabled toilets. Please ensure nappies and sanitary where is disposed of in the correct bins provided in the toilets.
14. Please remove shoes before entering the play structure. Socks must be worn at all times by both adults and children (socks can be purchased from reception).
15. Age restrictions apply to certain structures. The toddler area is for under 4’s only; (exceptions may be made for SEND children at managements discretion).
16. Children in the toddler area may be accompanied by an adult (children over the age of 4 will not be permitted in the toddler area to supervise younger siblings).
17. Gates at the entrance and exit must be kept closed for the safety of the children.
18. Anyone who feels unwell should not attend Play Shack or use the play facilities, anyone who becomes unwell during their visit will be asked to leave immediately to avoid the risk of spreading infection.
19. No pets to enter the premises, except for guide dogs.
20. Members of the public are not permitted to enter staff areas.
21. Smoking, E-Cigarettes and alcohol are not permitted on the premises.
22. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden. Any persons found in possession will be escorted off the premises and/or reported to the police.
23. We accept no responsibility for theft, loss or damage of items (including car parks).
24. We reserve the right to refuse any vouchers presented to us that are not in date or have not been issued by Play Shack.
25. Aggressive or threatening behaviour or language towards our team or members of the public will not be tolerated. Anyone behaving in such a manor will be asked to leave and/or reported to the police.
26. The management reserves the right to terminate or refuse admission without refund.

• Recommended use for the large drop slide in the main play area – age 4 and above.
• We only recommend using the slides if you are wearing long sleeves and trousers.
• Only 1 person is permitted to use the slides at any time (no children on laps).
• Arms must be kept crossed when going down the slides.
• As soon as you reach the bottom of the slides you must leave the exit area.
• The exit areas must be kept clear at all times.
• Climbing up the slides is not permitted.
• The slide entrances must not be blocked.
• Ensure appropriate clothing is worn.

• Children are only to use structures dedicated to their age range.
• Do not take toys furnishing from their dedicated areas.
• No climbing netting.
• Ensure children do not enter areas which have been marked out of bounds.
• Inform a member of the team if an area has become damaged.
• Ensure appropriate clothing is worn.
